Why use this resource?
Each problem requires the creation and manipulation of algebraic or numerical fractions. Students select the parameters for each problem for themselves and so need to think about appropriate values. Some research could be allowed for students to identify suitable values where they have no idea (although it is worth remembering that the problems can be solved with any values, even if these are not realistic!). Each problem in this resource could be considered in isolation if a shorter activity is required.
