Why use this resource?
These problems are great for students looking to develop problem-solving skills as well as practising using similar triangles. There are a few ways of tackling this problem. An elegant solution uses similar triangles although one could also tackle them using trigonometry and/or coordinate geometry. The problems can be used individually but the later problems use previous results.
